Baking Soda

The above two methods are related to removing the residue by using chemicals but this method has totally different scenario. Instead, of removing the scars, we will put anew coating on our grates that give them a shiny and clean look.

First, remove the stains as far as possible by washing the grates with water and then wiping them with sponges. This step will allow the baking soda to coat in a well-defined way so that it tightly coats the whole body. To coat baking soda, we should make a thick paste of it by mixing it with water. Use a new brush and coat the whole grates with baking soda. In this way, it eradicates all the build-ups of oil, fat, and butter, etc. After coating, leave them for an hour. After this time, take a soft or non-abrasive sponge and wipe the grates slowly. This will prevent the new coating from breaking down.

Vinegar

This method is pretty similar to the first two methods. Make a mixture of water and vinegar by taking an equal amount of both of them. Shake them well so they get intermixed perfectly. Take them in a bottle and use the nozzle at the top of it. The vinegar is acidic in nature so it helps to remove light stains and residue. Using this method is much safe as the chemicals used are also a part of our daily food so there is no chance of getting any illness.

After spraying, leave it for an hour and then wash it away with clean water. Take a sponge a wipe away the grates gently. This will prevent them from scratching and your job will be done as far as possible.
